Custom domain authentication through userfront.net service interruption
Incident Report for Userfront
Resolved
At 10:30 PDT 2024 May 1, customers using custom domain authentication through userfront.net had their authentication service interrupted.

The service interruption was due to database access for deprecated API infrastructure being disabled. userfront.net was incorrectly using the deprecated infrastructure. The incident was resolved at 16:00 PDT by temporarily re-enabling database access for the deprecated infrastructure.

The durable fix for customers using userfront.net was to point userfront.net at the correct infrastructure. The userfront.net domain is now managed by our infrastructure-as-code. Moving forward configuration changes to userfront.net will occur in an automated manner similar to how userfront.com has been managed, avoiding similar incidents in the future.

All traffic directed to userfront.com was unaffected.
